About Us
The Crane Family
Founded by Mark and Jennelle, Black Gold Genetics is a family owned and operated seedstock ranch located in Pritchett, Colorado. We have raised Gelbvieh, Angus and Balancer bulls for the cow-calf man since 1992. The Cranes are proud residents of Baca County, and know that God, family and cattle are what life's all about.

Gelbvieh
Mark has been raising registered Gelbvieh cattle since 1992. Gelbvieh bulls are so valuable to the cow-calf man due to the maternal values of early puberty, milk and re-breeding ability.
Angus
The Business Breed. Angus cattle are known for traits that can make a real difference in cow herd profitability, including calving ease, marbling and growth.
Balancer
Balancer cattle combine the Gelbvieh growth, muscle, leanness, fertility, longevity and low yield grading ability with the carcass qualities of Angus.
